There are usually no obvious symptoms of ovarian cancer.
Some of the mild symptoms that show women with this disease are abdominal swelling or bloating, generalized abdominal discomfort, early satiety, appetite, dyspepsia, general malaise, changes in urinary frequency or weight change (either gain or loss). Women may develop unexplained ascites (fluid in the abdominal cavity), which contributes to abdominal pain. Because these symptoms are not unique to ovarian cancer, the disease can be difficult to identify and diagnose.
Ovarian cancer often shows no clear signs or symptoms until advanced stages of development. The signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer may include:
  • General abdominal discomfort and / or pain, gas, indigestion, pressure, swelling, bloating or cramping
  • It can cause nausea, diarrhea , constipation or frequent urination
  • Loss of appetite
  • Feeling of fullness even after a light meal
  • Weight gain or loss with no known reason
  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding
